Friends Events
Our friends get a first-hand look at construction progress on the Discovery Channel Telescope
Friends of Lowell Observatory at the Friends level and up are invited to a special Observatory event annually. Last year, this group had lunch at the summit of the Discovery Channel Telescope site, after a tour of the facility by the DCT staff. This year, we are planning a dinner and silent auction on Mars Hill.
Friends at the Pluto Society level and up are invited to an exclusive Observatory event. We are currently planning this event for 2007. One possibility is a field trip to see the DCT mirror in Tucson, as well as other astronomical sites in the area.
