Wes Lockwood, Astronomer
Wes's major research interests include the luminosity of the sun, solar and stellar activity cycles, the effects of solar variations on Earth's weather and climate, and long-term photometry of planets and satellites. He uses photoelectric photometry to measure the brightness of celestial objects with a precision achieved at few other observatories today.
Wes is a leader in promoting dark skies and also participates in Lowell's oral history project and archive preservation efforts.
