The Rotunda at Lowell Observatory

Ted Dunham, Astronomer

Ted is in charge of developing improved instrument capability. Since joining Lowell in February 1996, he has overseen the construction and commissioning of a several new CCD cameras and an automated telescope; he also planned and oversaw the construction of a new instrument lab. He is currently working on an instrument for observing occultations with SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy).

Ted is a co-investigator on the Kepler mission, a NASA Discovery class mission designed to detect extrasolar terrestrial planets using transit photometry.
