We have a specially equipped telescope that lets you safely view the Sun during the day. See sunspots and flares through a filter that reveals these features, and learn about our Sun, the nearest star, during your visit here. The solar telescope is set up daily from 9:30 - 9:55 AM.

During your visit, learn about the 4.2-meter Discovery Channel Telescope. The DCT, to see first light in 2010, will be a unique facility that will allow Lowell to maintain its tradition of first-rate astronomy research.
